Tara Koslov, Acting Director of the Office of Public Policy of the Federal Trade Commission to present at 25th Annual Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards Regulatory Law Seminar

The Federation of Associations of Regulatory Boards (FARB) is pleased to announce that Tara Koslov, Acting Director of the Office of Public Policy of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will present at the 25th Annual FARB Regulatory Law Seminar, October 5-8, 2017 in Savannah, Georgia. Ms. Koslov will present on the position of the FTC related to the regulatory community and the antitrust perspectives of the federal agency. FARB has allocated ample time for Ms. Koslov’s remarks and an opportunity for questions and answers. FARB is excited about the opportunity to hear from the FTC and engage in discussions about the regulatory climate and the role of the federal government and the FTC in these evolving times.

Tara Isa Koslov was appointed Acting Director of the FTC’s Office of Policy Planning (OPP) by Chairwoman Ramirez on June 30, 2016, having served as OPP’s Deputy Director since March 2011. She oversees attorneys who develop and implement long-range policy initiatives such as public workshops, studies and reports. Koslov also manages the FTC’s competition advocacy efforts, promoting competition principles for the benefit of consumers.  Koslov joined the Commission from the private practice in February 1997 as a staff attorney in the commission’s Bureau of Competition. She later served as an attorney advisor to three Commissioners.  Koslov was a 2013 recipient of the Commission’s Award for Excellence in Supervision. She received a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1994 and an A.B. in Classics from Brown University 1991.
